WRECK OF THE PULASKI CONTINUES TO PRODUCE AMAZING TREASURES

WRECK OF THE PULASKI CONTINUES TO PRODUCE AMAZING TREASURES

July 11, 2018   Project partners Blue Water Ventures International (OTCPK:BWVI) and Endurance Exploration Group (OTC:EXPL), announce that recovery efforts on the historic 1838 SB Pulaski wreck site located off the coast of North Carolina are continuing to produce artifacts.

The Dive Team has been able to make the most of favorable weather conditions for diving/recovery at the beginning of July.  Over a five day trip to the site, our team uncovered what appeared to be a small chest with over 240 silver coins, and 9 rare gold coins.  Several pocket watches including one very ornate and beautifully detailed ocean life pocket watch.   Other items include 41 pieces of silverware, stoneware and ships hardware.

“The recoveries are beginning to bring a lost window of time back to life.” stated Keith Webb, President of Blue Water Ventures International, “this wreck site is like a giant puzzle, and we are working to put the pieces back together.”

The Dive Team has been working in approximately 120 feet of water and as the recovery field broadens more material is revealing itself.   The technical dive training during the winter has really paid off allowing the divers to spend 3 to 4 hours more a day underwater.   To date a total of 390 silver coins, 23 gold coins, 5 gold pocket watches, and numerous other historical artifacts have been recovered.  Both companies believe, the face value for the coins found to date to be less than $300.  It was estimated that passenger losses were near $150,000, when the Pulaski went down, meaning we have barely scratched the surface of valuable coins and artifacts yet to be recovered.

Numismatic Conservation Services (NCS) and Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) have been working to conserve, attribute, and grade the coins recovered from the wreck site.  A number of the coins recovered are extremely rare and carry a high historical value.  The company will keep shareholders and investment community updated relating to the values of recovered items as appropriate moving forward.

THE 1838 SHIPWRECK WAS 'THE TITANIC OF ITS TIME.' DIVERS JUST MADE AN EERIE DISCOVERY

THE 1838 SHIPWRECK WAS ‘THE TITANIC OF ITS TIME.’ DIVERS JUST MADE AN EERIE DISCOVERY

BY MARK PRICE

msprice@charlotteobserver.com

Divers recovering artifacts off the steamship Pulaski have made an eerie find that gives credence to eyewitness accounts of the night the ship sank in 1838, taking some of the nation’s richest people to the bottom of the Atlantic.

A mysterious “grapefruit-sized” encrustation found at the site off North Carolina’s coast turned out to be a heavily decorated solid gold pocket watch attached to a gold chain.

However, what has historians buzzing is the fact that the watch’s hands are frozen at 11:05. That’s 5 minutes after the time witnesses say the ship’s boilers exploded on the night of June 14, 1838. The dramatic sinking, often referred to as “the Titanic of its time,” occurred 180 years ago this month.

“We were shocked,” said Max Spiegel of Certified Collectables Group, which is handling preservation of Pulaski artifacts.

“It’s very unusual to see an artifact with that sort of impression of a historic moment, when a ship sank. Think about how fragile the watch’s hands are, yet they survived in that exact position. It’s one of the most exciting finds we’ve handled, and we’ve done a half dozen shipwrecks.”

STEAMSHIP PULASKI RECOVERY EFFORTS INCREASE SUMMER OF 2018

STEAMSHIP PULASKI RECOVERY EFFORTS INCREASE SUMMER OF 2018

Jacksonville, Florida (June 6, 2018) Blue Water Venture International (OTCPK:BWVI) in conjunction with Endurance Exploration Group (OTC:EXPL) is gearing up their summer dive season on the steamship Pulaski. The favorable weather conditions on site are now allowing the dive team longer stays on the Pulaski site.

The Blue Water Rose dive team has gone through extensive training in Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures and is now certified through Technical Diving International (TDI). TDI provides training in mixed gas diving and rebreathers. The results of the training have extended bottom times for our divers threefold and increased the percentage of shipwreck material and artifacts recovered by 50% in the last 2 visits to the site.

To date, the team has recovered over 150 gold and silver coins, unique artifacts including an ornate gold necklace encrusted within shipwreck material. The team is excited to get the summer started with these recoveries, as they extend the search area we hope to make additional news with each trip to the site.

TDI is the largest technical certification agency in the world and seen as an innovator of new diving techniques and programs which previously were not available to the general public. Brian Carney, President of TDI added, “We are extremely happy that our programs have been able to provide the training for these divers to get the job done safely and are excited to see what new discoveries Blue Water Ventures and Endurance Exploration Group will find in the near future.”

IDENTITY OF THE SHIPWRECK STEAMBOAT PULASKI CONFIRMED, MORE COINS AND ARTIFACTS RECOVERED

IDENTITY OF THE SHIPWRECK STEAMBOAT PULASKI CONFIRMED, MORE COINS AND ARTIFACTS RECOVERED

JACKSONVILLE, May 9, 2018 – Blue Water Ventures International (OTCPK: BWVI) and project partner Endurance Exploration Group (OTCQB: EXPL) have verified the identity of the Steamboat Pulaski. Several items recovered this past week contain the name “Pulaski” stamped on the artifacts, establishing the ship’s provenance.  The Pulaski sank in 1838 off the coast of North Carolina. She is one of the more notable shipwrecks in the early history of the eastern seaboard of the United States.

Recently, the Blue Water dive crew received training in advanced nitrox enriched diving. This allows divers longer bottom time to explore the site and create better working grids on the seafloor. The advanced training the divers received has facilitated these new discoveries. Originally bottom time for the divers was about 20 minutes. Now, with this training, divers can spend an hour working on the Pulaski site. A window of favorable weather opened last week, and the dive team was able to return to the site. Once on the bottom, the divers immediately began discovering coins and artifacts. Most notably among the first finds, a candlestick holder marked with the name ” SB Pulaski”.

To date, the Pulaski site has produced 115 gold and silver coins, all dated prior to 1838. These finds represent early American coinage, Spanish colonial and British coins. All coins are being conserved and appraised by Numismatic Guarantee Corporation. Other unique items recovered include a small, unique box, a pocket watch, candlestick holders, brass wall sconces, keys and a numbered brass tag marker with the name SB Pulaski stamped on it.

Keith Webb of Blue Water Ventures states, “As the weather conditions improve off the coast of North Carolina, the Blue Water Rose will be working as much as possible on the site to fully recover this shipwreck. We are proud to share the history and legacy of this lost but not forgotten piece of American history.

Micah Eldred of Endurance Exploration Group adds, “We are pleased to positively identify this wreck site as that of SB Pulaski, and while we are elated with the recoveries to date, this only represents a tiny fraction of the currency, jewelry and other unique items lost on this shipwreck. We look forward to an exciting 2018 recovery season!”

Blue Water Ventures International and Endurance Exploration Extend Their Project Recovery Agreement

Blue Water Ventures International and Endurance Exploration Extend Their Project Recovery Agreement

JACKSONVILLE, FL, April 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Blue Water Ventures International (OTCPK: BWVI) and project recovery partner Endurance Exploration Group (EXPL) are pleased to announce that they have extended their Agreement concerning the salvage of the shipwreck believed to be the SS Pulaski.

The new Agreement runs through the end of 2018 and ensures that salvage operation will continue without interruption as the 2018 recovery season begins.  Both BWVI and EXPL agree on the importance of continued use of archeological guidelines while recovery efforts continue on the site.

Recent recovery efforts by Blue Water Ventures International and Endurance Exploration Group resulted in coins from the US, Spain, Mexico and Great Britain among other artifacts. Foreign coins were legal tender in US at the time the SS Pulaski sank due to the scarcity of US Mint issues.

The wreck of SS Pulaski is particularly significant.  It represents one of the earliest shipwrecks from which US coins have been recovered. The first coins recovered include well-preserved half dollars and half eagles from the 1830s as well as several earlier issues.

The coins are being professionally conserved by Numismatic Conservation Services (“NCS”) a sister company to Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (“NGC”).  NCS was established in 2001 as the world’s first professional coin conservation service and has extensive experience with shipwreck-recovered coins, having previously conserved coins recovered from several major shipwrecks.

Keith Webb of Blue Water Ventures International commented, “Now that the paperwork is settled, we can get back to what we do best.  This upcoming season should reveal significant recoveries, the boats are ready, and our dive team is anxious to get back in the water!”

Micah Eldred of Endurance Exploration adds, “We are pleased to be working with Blue Water on this project, we appreciate their professionalism, and we look forward to continuing to work with Blue Water on this and potentially future projects.”

NCS and NGC Selected to Conserve and Grade SS Pulaski Coins

NCS and NGC Selected to Conserve and Grade SS Pulaski Coins

Tampa, FL (March 27, 2018) – Endurance Exploration Group (OTCQB: EXPL) and project recovery partner Blue Water Ventures International (OTCPK: BWVI) are pleased to announce that Numismatic Conservation Services (NCS) and Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) have been selected to conserve, attribute and grade coins recovered from the wreck of the SS Pulaski.

The SS Pulaski sank in 1838 off the coast of North Carolina while sailing from Charleston, South Carolina, to Baltimore, Maryland. It is one of the most notable shipwrecks in the early history of United States.

Recent recovery efforts by Endurance Exploration Group and Blue Water Ventures International have found coins from the US, Spain, Mexico and Great Britain among other artifacts. Foreign coins were legal tender in US at the time the SS Pulaski sank due to the scarcity of US Mint issues.

The SS Pulaski is particularly significant because it is one of the earliest shipwrecks from which US coins have been recovered. The coins initially recovered include well-preserved half dollars and half eagles from the 1830s as well as several earlier issues.

The coins will be professionally conserved by NCS, which was established in 2001 as the world’s first professional coin conservation service. NCS has extensive experience with shipwreck-recovered coins, having previously conserved coins recovered from several major shipwrecks.

After conservation, coins will be attributed and graded by NGC, an affiliated company. NGC was founded in 1987 to provide accurate, consistent and impartial assessments of the authenticity and grade of coins. Once graded, coins are encapsulated in NGC’s proprietary protective holder with a certification label that notes the coin’s description and grade.

The SS Pulaski coins will be encapsulated by NGC with a special certification label that features an engraving of the ship. In addition to noting the description and grade of the coins, the label will identify their SS Pulaski provenance.

NCS and NGC are housed in the same 60,000-square-foot, secure, climate-controlled facility in Sarasota, Florida. The companies also have offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Munich.

“This may be one of the most significant shipwreck finds of early US silver and gold coins,” says Mark Salzberg, chairman of NCS and NGC. “We are honored to have been selected to examine, conserve and grade coins from this historic shipwreck.”

“We are pleased that NGC has begun their conservation and evaluation of the recovered coins.” states Micah Eldred president of Endurance Exploration.   Keith Webb of Blue Water Ventures International states “with recovery efforts resuming in 2018, we hope to keep NGC very busy.”

Blue Water Ventures International and Endurance Exploration Group Technology Division Begin Optimizing Field Systems and Equipment for the 2018 Pulaski Excavation

Blue Water Ventures International and Endurance Exploration Group Technology Division Begin Optimizing Field Systems and Equipment for the 2018 Pulaski Excavation

JACKSONVILLE, FL – (NewMediaWire) – February 8, 2018 – Blue Water Ventures International (OTCPK: BWVI) and its project partner Endurance Exploration Group (OTCQB: EXPL) have begun assessing its shipboard equipment, diving systems and personnel requirements in preparation for the 2018 diving season on the wreck of the Steamship Pulaski.

Since its initial discovery in 2017 all dive operations have been minimal due to winter weather conditions which have presented limited windows for dive teams to investigate the Pulaski wrecksite.  The upcoming 2018 summer season will allow BWVI and project partner EXPL to activate its full field operations capability throughout the summer months with limited shutdowns due to weather.

Every shipwreck project is unique. Once initial studies of a wreck are complete it is important to modify all aspects of field operations to maximize operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and safety for expedition personnel.  The previous weeks have allowed both BWVI and EXPL to evaluate all technical and logistical considerations of the Pulaski wrecksite. We are now beginning to implement necessary changes in preparation for optimal results during the 2018 dive season.
